Our small group
Every Friday since September as a staff we have met in my flat to have quality time together away from the centre. We decided to read the book 'Purpose Driven Life'. It is in Latvian and English and each week we read one chapter before meeting and then spend an hour sharing our thoughts, asking questions and helping each other in our faith.

When Inga left I was concerned about what would have to this time as it was proving to be a really special hour in all of our weeks but I knew we just had to trust that God would know best.

Then when Vineta joined us I was worried as to how she would feel about it, as we know very little about what faith she has I didn't know if she'd be happy to join us. The last 2 Friday's since she arrived we haven't meet as I felt it was important to give her time to settle in so today was our first small group.

I think I can say it went well! Before we started I tried to make her feel 'at home' and she seemed to be. Everyone was sensitive as we talked and she was keen to join in.

It's great to see God's work in action, how when we trust Him to know what's best He shows us that He does!! I'm so pleased that I'm able to offer this time to the staff to be able to stop and thinking about their relationship with God and what it is He has in store for them. A great way to end the working week!
